LOADOUTS // FAMILY LOGISTICS
Pack for the people you actually bring.
Build a beach loadout around time, distance, weather and the number of humans depending on you—not around an imaginary perfect beach day.
CARRY LESS • FIND IT FAST • GET EVERYONE HOME

FILE SYSTEM // SELECT READINESS LEVEL
Three missions. Three different loads.
Start with the shortest realistic mission. Move up only when extra time, distance or family needs justify the extra weight.
LOAD CLASS 01 // LIGHT
Shoreline Run
Mission window: 60–90 minutes
- One carry bag
- Drinking water
- Sunscreen and sun cover
- Towels and minimal toys
- Keys and phone secured
Rule: if you cannot carry it in one trip, move up a class.
LOAD CLASS 02 // STANDARD
Family Day Trip
Mission window: 3–5 hours
- Anchored shade
- Cooler with separate water zone
- First-aid and safety gear
- Mesh toy bag and wet bag
- One dry outfit per child
Rule: every bag gets one job and one owner.
LOAD CLASS 03 // HEAVY
Full Family Bunker
Mission window: Most of the day
- Wagon or controlled gear transport
- Redundant water and food
- Expanded shade and seating
- Backup clothing and towels
- Staged extraction supplies
Rule: heavy gear needs a departure plan before arrival.
MANIFEST STANDARD // FIVE ZONES
If it has no zone, it becomes clutter.
Every useful family loadout should answer the same five needs. Keep each category together so nobody has to unload the entire wagon to find sunscreen.
01 // Water
Drinking water, cold reserve and a refill plan.
02 // Shade
Anchors, sun cover, hats and a setup that survives wind.
03 // Safety
First aid, flotation where needed and visible child gear.
04 // Food
Low-mess fuel, protected snacks and a hidden exit snack.
05 // Extraction
Dry clothes, rinse water, trash control and the ride-home kit.
EXTRACTION CONTROL // KEEP OFF THE SAND
Build the last 20 minutes before the first bag.
The beach pile and the ride-home kit are different systems. If the clean towels, cold drinks and dry clothes reach the sand, the extraction plan has already failed.
- Set a hard departure time before arrival.
- Give the family a 20-minute warning.
- Send one adult ahead with heavy gear.
- Rinse and change children one at a time.
- Load wet gear last and keep clean gear sealed.

CAR-DOOR KIT // SEALED
Do not take this bag to the beach.
- Fresh water for feet
- Dry towels
- Complete clean outfits
- Wipes and trash bags
- Cold drinks
- Seat-cover towels
If it touches sand, it is no longer the car-door kit.
BUILD STATUS // FIRST DEPLOYMENT
Start with the Galveston family loadout.
The first field guide includes a practical day-trip list for heat, water and getting everyone back into the car. Dedicated printable loadout sheets will follow as we test and refine the system.
